About the practice

Every drawing signed by the surveyor who surveyed it.

Prospaplans Ltd is based in Norfolk and has worked across the South East, East Anglia and the Midlands for over two decades. The chain of custody is unbroken: the same person attends the site, reduces the data, interprets it and signs it off. Nobody between you and the evidence.

What we will not do, and what we insist on instead.

What we have turned down

Work outside our competence. Jobs where the client needs a survey fastest, cheapest and defensible at once, because those three do not coexist. Sites where access or safety makes it unreasonable to work alone. Saying no costs us revenue and saves you a bad outcome.

What we insist on

Control proved before it is relied upon. Accuracy stated, not implied. Raw data issued in open formats. Limitations written down next to the claim they qualify. And a clear statement when a method cannot see what the client needs, rather than an optimistic deliverable.

For site teams & framework clients

The questions a buyer asks first, answered first.

If you are assessing us as a supplier rather than booking a single survey, these are the questions that decide it. We have answered them the way we would answer them on a call — including the one that is not flattering.

Who actually signs the work off?
The surveyor who attends the site and interprets the data. There is no separate check by someone who never saw the ground, because there is no separate layer. You get one named author for every deliverable, and they are contactable about it for as long as it is useful.
What happens if your capacity clashes with our programme?
We agree dates and turnaround before accepting, not after. Where a programme needs more resource, more specialists or more crews on the ground than we will commit ourselves, we bring in trusted partners and associates who work to our specification and our quality standard. You still get one point of contact, one named author and one quality standard, and the deliverable remains ours to stand behind. We are not going to staff a problem with an apology.
Are you insured for this work?
Professional indemnity cover is held for all of our work, including land, engineering, aerial and 3D data capture. Aerial operations carry separate, dedicated drone insurance on top of that, and every flight is flown in line with CAA requirements. Certificates can be provided with a quote.
Do we get our own data, or a locked-in format?
You get the raw data in open formats — E57, LAZ, LAS, IFC, XYZ, CSV and DWG as relevant — alongside the drawing. Nothing is held hostage to our software, and you can run the checks yourself.
Can you cover a rolling multi-site programme?
Yes. A rolling multi-site programme is scaled by bringing partners and associates onto the ground alongside our own crews, so the crew count moves with your programme rather than against it. It is a deliberate, repeatable arrangement rather than something improvised once you are already live. Whoever is on site works to the same method, the same control and the same accuracy statement, and you deal with one point of contact throughout.
How do you handle handover and records for our files?
Deliverables are issued with a written accuracy statement, the control used, the datum and the limitations. That is what makes the work auditable later, which matters more to a client with a long programme than a fast first answer.

If a supplier questionnaire, insurance certificate or RAMS is needed for your approval process, ask and it will be sent the same working day.

Why people come back

01

Signed by the surveyor who did the work

Whoever attends your site interprets the data and signs the deliverable. No handover, no detail lost in translation, no account manager relaying it.

02

You get the data, not just a drawing

Point clouds, mesh models and raw control issued in your own software. Nothing locked in.

03

Millimetre control, properly proven

OSGB36 National Grid coordinates and OS-level control, so your figures close to the millimetre.

04

Insured, compliant, accountable

Professional indemnity cover held for all of our work, including aerial and 3D data capture, with separate dedicated drone insurance on top. Full CAA compliance on every flight.

05

Flown where the airspace is awkward

Aerial work in London controlled airspace is routine for us, and the authorisations are secured in advance of the flight rather than chased on the day.

A short history

Including the parts that are not flattering, because a firm willing to publicise its own compromise is easier to trust than one that pretends it never happened.

  1. Before 2001

The practice was working across the South East, East Anglia and the Midlands under a different name, covering land surveys, GPS control, engineering surveys, setting-out, dimensional control and project management.

  2. 2001

The domain that became prospaplans.com was first registered in February, during the early run-up to the dot-com era. The site has been rebuilt several times since, most recently after a compromise in 2025.

  3. 2025

The previous WordPress site was compromised and flooded with injected spam pages. The affected URLs are gone, the database is not being migrated forward, and the practice is rebuilding from nothing rather than inheriting something untrustworthy.

  4. 2026

This site. Every service page, the raw data behind the drawings, and an interactive 3D viewer so the work can be checked rather than taken on trust.
