Boundary & Site Control
Where the boundary legally is, and how to build to it. Definitive boundary definition to recognised standard, with the control network, the evidence and the setting-out dimensions you need to put the work in the right place and stay there.
Typical accuracy · ±10mm on control; boundary interpretation is a legal judgement, not a measurement, and is stated as such.
When you need it
- →You are building close to a boundary and need to know how close you can go.
- →A neighbour disputes where the boundary runs.
- →Land is being sold or transferred and the boundary must be defined on plan.
- →You need a control framework to set out a building accurately.
What you get
- Boundary definition plan with monumented or offset evidence
- RICS-standard boundary annotation
- Control network in OSGB36 for future setting-out

Questions we get asked
Can a surveyor decide a boundary dispute?
A surveyor provides the measured evidence and an impartial opinion on where the boundary is most likely to sit. The legal decision is the Court's. Our job is to make the evidence unambiguous.
Do I need this before I buy?
If there is any doubt about the boundary, yes. It is far cheaper to establish it before exchange than to argue about it afterwards.
