Aerial & 3D Data
Volumetric & Stockpile Surveys
Stock tonnage and earthwork volumes from measured data rather than a wheelbarrow count. Fast enough to run weekly, accurate enough to invoice against, and repeatable from the same setup each time.
Typical accuracy · ±2% on volume to a clean measured surface, with stated surface assumptions.
When you need it
- →You buy or sell material by volume and need a defensible quantity.
- →Earthworks need measuring for a valuation or a claim.
- →Site stockpiles need reconciling against a contract.
- →Progress needs a cut and fill number at a set date.
What you get
- Stockpile volume and tonnage by area
- Cut, fill and balance volumes between epochs
- Scaled survey points for independent checking
- Comparison against previous surveys
- Density assumption stated, or your density applied
How it runs
- 01
Agree what is being measured and what the surface rules are.
- 02
Survey by aerial or ground method, whichever is right for the material.
- 03
Compute volumes against a defined datum or base surface.
- 04
Issue numbers, surfaces and the raw points so you can check them.
- Horizontal control
- ±10mm typical
- Vertical control
- ±8mm typical

Questions we get asked
How do you turn volume into tonnage?
By applying a density. We will use your stated density if you have one, otherwise we state the assumption clearly and flag that loose and compacted densities differ.
Where we cover
Norfolk based, working nationwide. Site-based surveying, so distance is rarely the constraint.
Most requested in Lincolnshire & the Midlands.
Every town, district and borough we cover is listed in full on each region page. See the full service area.
